Class Member Research

We identify and locate potential class members with proprietary research methods.

We conduct detailed research on the claim that is the subject of the class action and how it is related to a population’s location and characteristics. For example, with a claim involving product liability, Kinsella Media undertakes an analysis of the product and its usage – investigating how a product was used, by whom, where and over what period of time.

This information identifies the demographic characteristics of class members – such as age, gender, income and education level – and the geographic distribution of potential class members.

In certain cases, databases are developed to examine class member distribution for purposes of geographic targeting through product distribution records and zip code analyses.

This research provides the parameters for identifying and locating class members, and shapes the scope of the notice program.
